Usually displaying a pinkish-orange hue, the pink Topaz is one of the most valuable varieties of this gemstone. It was used in the jewels meant for the Russian Czar’s family in the 18th and 19th centuries, hence the name. The Imperial topaz was strictly restricted for use only by the Czar, his family, and by those who were gifted with it.
