Pink Sapphires are the close relation of Rubies. They are technically the same stone, but the only distinction that separates a red Ruby from a pink Sapphire is the gemologist’s colour grade. Most pink Sapphires go through a heat treatment because naturally the pink roughs are a little too dark and purple when they come out of the ground.
 
Lab created Sapphires have the same chemical properties of the natural stones. They posses the same hardness, density and appearance of the natural Pink Sapphire. Lab-grown gems are produced by copying the properties of the original, usually by duplicating the environmental conditions that naturally mined stones undergo.
