Sublime Chrome Diopside pendant, magnificently handmade and exclusively designed by Empress Jewellery. Created in 925 sterling silver, and electroplated with 3 microns thickness of 23ct gold. This stunning pendant measures 65mm x 40mm.
 
Chrome Diopside is coloured by chromium, the same element that gives Emerald its rich green colour. This intense green colour and its high refraction, give the gem spectacular brilliance. It ranges in colour from light, bright green to almost black, with colour growing darker as the gem size increases. Chrome Diopside gemstones have been around a long time, but were only officially discovered in 1988. Originally, Chrome Diopside was sourced from Russia's Eastern Siberia, but deposits have been found elsewhere in the world.
