Lavish red cabochon Ruby pendant, handmade and artist designed by Empress Jewellery. This individually designed piece has been created in 925 sterling silver, and electroplated with 3 microns thickness of 23ct gold. This large statement pendant measures 60.5mm x 42mm. 
 
This natural Ruby has received treatment. Most of the natural ‘big three’ gemstones – Emeralds, Rubies and Sapphires – are in some way enhanced or treated to improve colour and clarity. Filling Rubies with lead glass dramatically improves the transparency of the natural stone, and its value is also more affordable than an untreated Ruby.
