Magnificent marquise cut, deep violet 30ct Amethyst pendant. This stunning one-off piece has been handmade, and exclusively designed by Empress Jewellery. Created in 925 sterling silver, and electroplated with 3 microns thickness of 23ct gold. This striking pendant measures 65mm x 39mm.
 
For many years, Amethyst was held to be one of the most precious gemstones, often favoured by royalty. It was even regarded for many years to be as valuable as the Diamond. Amethysts are featured in jewels worn by Catherine the Great, Egyptian royalty and are also featured in the British Crown Jewels. It wasn’t until the discovery of more abundant supplies of Amethyst, that it became a gemstone enjoyed by more than just the wealthiest buyers.
